36 Ritz crackers 2 cups water 2 cups sugar 2 teaspoons cream of tartar 2 tablespoons lemon juice Grated rind of 1 lemon Butter or margarine Cinnamon Pie crust Break Ritz crackers coarsely into pastry-lined pieplate. Combine water, sugar, cream of tartar in a sauce pan. boil gently for 15 minutes. Add lemon juice, lemon rind. Cool. Pour syrup over crackers. Dot with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon. cover with pie crust. Bake 425 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. |
