Rum Balls

5 cups finely crushed vanilla cookies (vanilla wafers)
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
1 cup confectioner's sugar
1/2 cup rum
1/4 cup light corn syrup
2 tablespoons cocoa
Confectioner's sugar

Combine cookie crumbs, pecans, 1 cup confectioner's sugar, rum, corn syrup and cocoa. Shape into 1 inch balls with hands dusted with sugar. Roll balls into confectioner's sugar. Store in tightly covered container for several days to mellow. Makes about 4 dozen
